What a day in Australia! Classic north-westerly phenomenon reaching all the way down to Melbourne with temperatures above 40°C! Also a couple of tropical storms north-east of Australia as we speak. New Zealand remains moderated and cool.

Below average all throughout coastal Southern Argentina today and as predicted, Ushuaia befell the worst fate, with a 9°C temp during the afternoon in its warmest month...

Interesting temperature range over the South Island at present (4:15pm) 33C at this end of the island, and 12C at coastal locations down south.

Not only down Ushuaia, but most western Patagonia with a significant summery snow event ahead (thuesday-wednesday):

30C at one end of the country (Keri Keri) today (2:05pm) and 15C at Invercargill at the other end.

High dew points in Motueka today, with mid 20s C and a 20C dew point.

Meanwhile, as it was forecasted, it was a abnormally cold day in Patagonia today. Bariloche had a max of 10ºC and some flurries. The ski resorts were blanketed with snow:
