Summer in Cizre goes on.

Yesterday's high was 43.6°C. Today it reached 43°C earlier. Currently 42.6°C at 13% humidity ( dewpoint: 8.3°C).

For the next 4 days, forecast highs are 43°C

I spent 5 days in Cizre between 19th and 24th July. It was a nice experience weather-wise.

Hi 82f, low 65f.

Looking at our long term forecast, I realize that can change but today is the only day that is in the 80's. Down into the 70's for highs and 50's and 60's for lows. I'm not complaining, it's wonderful!

Finally some decency. 50s this morning at EWR and TEB, and 60 or 61 at the other 4 NWS stations. 50s on Long Island as well.

I saw a map of Arkansas that the heat index will be in the 100s today I think. Stay safe. Summer almost over.

Hartford's low was 47°F this morning. Normal 1st time hitting 47° is September 2nd.

The last time they hit 47° in August was 2006!

Last year it took until September 24th.

Weird even we rarely drop to 47 in August.

Coldest we've had in August so far is 64 F / 18 C. July got to 60 F / 16 C on the 25th.

We've had 47.12" of rain this year so far. Normal for the entire year is 47.25".

Normal through August 25 is 31.68" and our record rainiest year ever, 1979, had 43.01" through August 25.

We've had 17.65" of rain for the summer so far. Norm is 10.38" and record is 19.51" in 1998 (all through August 25)

Neat. It apparently got all the way down to 67°F yesterday morning here (the coldest temp in a month). But today it's 96 with a heat index of 110. I biked to and from class this morning (when the heat index was only in the 90s), and it was so humid I had to take a shower after only a 10-15 minute ride. That's what happens when you recently got a couple inches (~60 mm) of rain from thunderstorms.

I'm a bit of an anomaly, as I'm in the high part of the ozarks, far northern Arkansas. I traveled south an hour today and the temperature was 12 degrees higher than where I live. My temps are always some of the coolest in the state.

That would be a dream for me. Try 90 and dews around 75f and no rain in days.
