I've been twice before at that time of year. The weather is perfect.

Looks lovely where you're going too. Good timing for you with this dreadful weather!
That sounds alright, and dry heat as well so quite nice!

Yeah I cannot wait, looks perfect for next week..

Most of models forecast a rainy next week but after it seems to came a really nice beginning of a September. Even if these highs are a bit too exaggerated, they will at least show the general trend and that seems to be a good one...

ayee, the same model is forecasting 29c for 6 September to Tallinn Such forecasts are not for c,hiromants, obviously.

I have given up posting the forecast for London, although this week it will finally turn more seasonal.. with temperatures climbing back up to 23C/24C with 14C lows.

So goodbye crappy below average August here, hello endless sun and warmth

It's going to go from rainy to really rainy. I don't mind rain in autumn and temps are pleasantly cool.

Is it normal for late August there to feel like summer is over?

It's actually been a pleasant day here by the standards of this month with sunshine most of the way through to mid-afternoon, but when a sunny day only gets to 16.4C and I can be outside in the sunshine for hours in the middle of the day and not get any kind of colour then I know summer proper is over. I'll still be surprised if we only get to 11C tomorrow though because that is definitely on the extreme end of the scale for August.

Well, in a way, yes. Schools have already started, the summer vacations are mostly over, TV programmes return from their summer breaks and so on. And the current weather isn't helping. Last year it didn't feel that way, as sunny and relatively warm conditions continued well into September.

Personally I set the start of autumn around 15 September. After that some trees starts slowly changing, it begins to be colder at night, cloudier and rainier. But I still hope some for warmth and sun in September, if this low crap would soon start to fade away.
