In N MO warm in March made folks nervous. Everyone kept an eye on the sky for a good reason.

March can Def be a very wild month....but overall it is a winter month still....most of it, anyways. March has the wildest temp swings of any other month, probably

If we go into a cycle of global cooling as some are saying it will benefit some and hurt others. Food prices will rise or a lot more will be imported or more will be eaten out of cans and the frozen food section. Weather patterns are a lot more than just what we think of as comfort zones.

I wonder if all or atleast most U.S states that share a border with Canada have average daytime highs of 30 something degrees in the month of March or the very least average daytime highs of 40 something degrees.

I doubt that many of the border states in the Midwest generally get above the 30s in March. No. Dak., Mn, and Montana come to mind. Of course, there are always a few warmer days on ocassion.

Editing~Ok, you had me curious so I checked. I picked the "icebox of the nation", but it'd be somewhat comparable to most of northern Mn. and it looks like the 30s would be about it for March highs.

(probably) Sad but true.

March is generally more spring-like than winter-like to me,
because it's generally warmer and much more daylight than Dec.

It's more similar to November,
which I consider a definite fall month,
with "winter weather" being only a freak occurence.

Even now, our highs are above freezing most days
and last night it stayed above freezing.

Nice! (especially considering the latitude)
Toronto's April average is still only 52 F (11 C) and 37 (2 C).

Toronto in the month of April is still colder than most of California in the month of December, LOL.
