I searched this question and nothing came up, so...I am just wondering. Ok, it is 106 here right now and my AC is set at 83. Feeling a bit warm. Have not gotten a full months electric bill running the air yet and I am a bit worried...

How 'bout you?

Mine is set at 76! When it is that hot out, may not get it cooler than 78 or 80,just what I heard from someone who lives in the desert.

When I control the thermostat,
I do not like A/C to come on before 80 F.

Occaisionally I might feel sticky,
but I'd much rather turn on a fan or change into something more breatheable,
that to feel the artificial chill on my face, hands and feet.

Actually, a cold drink of water is usually all I need to refresh myself if it's 79 F and say 65% humidity inside.
(caused by an outdoor dewpoint of 68-70 F?)

My thermostat is set on 78. We actually haven't had to use it several days this season. I do like to turn it off at night and I think we've only left it run ONE night so far this year. But I often don't have the high dewpoints that many areas have.

We're in Texas and it's been over 100 for awhile with low to moderate humidity. We set ours at 78.

Mine is set to 76. I'd like to have it about 80, but I just can't be comfortable at that temperature. Makes it very difficult to sleep. In the winter I keep it around 60-65.
