I believe it! I love B-Ville! If I was going to stay in WV, it was where I had chosen to stay. Barboursville has new and nice housing, low crime rates, it's in the center of every thing from malls, to eating to what little entertainment WV has to offer (which aint much) However at least there is mini golf, movies, golf and a great park to visit to go walking in. I always love the fireworks show they have on the 4th of July, best one around in my opinion.
Nothing against Barboursville... or anywhere else... but if at this point your town hasn't won a Top 10 award for something from some publication, it must be the worst craphole in the country.

I suppose that this is a country full of crap holes. Lol
Barboursville is the other area my wife and I discussed about moving to when we were house shopping two years ago. While we love Putnam County we have noticed that we are drawn even more to the Huntington area these days and might consider moving there someday if we decide to stay in WV long term.
I agree that Barboursville might well be the best small town in that region. It might be the best town period in that region. It has quite a bit to offer and a low crime rate.
