This is much needed in the Martinsburg area. Martinsburg doesn't have many "prestige" medical complexes.

Berkeley County is the state's fastest growing county, which makes this an excellent investment for WVU Medicine. Both the health system and the county will benefit from this first rate facility, and it will improve access to one of the Nation's best academic medical establishments for residents of the Eastern Panhandle.

I don't see how this is over-sized or "fancy" in any way. In fact, with an area as big as Spring Mills/Falling Waters has become I was thinking before reading it would be significantly larger and have more amenities than what is planned.

I predict someday Berkeley Medical Center will not be the only ER facility in Berkeley County. This could be an option for this facility in the future.

Is it about time yet for this website to add an "Eastern Panhandle" sub? I think the amount of topics on the general WV board shows it deserves one.

It does. If Huntington and Charleston each have their own, the eastern panhandle deserves its own.

We did about a year ago and the mods had some reason for why we couldn't. I can't remember exactly but they have a set of requirements for determining who gets a sub-forum.

Mods Don't decide! Make a Poll see how many what the sub forum. Get enough for the contact the Big guys! That's how we did it 10 years ago to split the Dogs from the Cats forum. Tho mind you it didn't work with Horses getting their own forum Not enough Horse people. So might be the same with EP Forum. BUT give it a Try!
