Hello to all! Can anyone tell me which area(s) tend to get more annual sunshine and not a lot of snow between the southern part of WV like Huntington or Wayne in Wayne County, vs the top eastern area like Shepherstown?

Thanks.

In general in WV it is sunnier East of the Appalachian Mountains and cloudier to the West. Snowfall average is 14 inches versus 20 in Shepherdstown so not some huge difference. Average number of sunny days is 162 in Huntington versus 194 in Shepherdstown. 30 plus more days. Hope this helps. Shepherdstown will be more expensive as a result of growth due to relative proximity to job centers in Northern VA/ Maryland and DC.

Do to mountain ranges We get Less snow than Hagerstown MD or Winchester VA. Martinsburg is Cheaper to live in than
Shepherdstown tho only 8 miles apart. Not only does that bring ST closer to DC, it also has a Collage which seems to mean higher prices in Housing mostly.

Yeah that's a good point- I feel like anytime I'm watching the weather here in DC that Winchester and Hagerstown or farther out towards Cumberland have the highest snows. We usually get a nice cold rain or sleet.
