We're having our wedding in Asheville and are looking for a place for a rehearsal dinner. Are there any places around that have a mountain view that are affordable and can accommodate a large party of 50? Let me know if anyone has any thoughts. It would be fun to do it a place like Claxton Farms where guests can play lawn games and hang out but it's not affordable to do Claxton.

I've heard that the terrace of the grove park Inn is supposed to have great views. not sure about the pricing - my husband wanted to go to the moose cafe instead - but I am sure, others will know.
they are wellknown for a great brunch on weekends.

The Pisgah Inn is moderately priced and has a great view and big dining room. Downside is it is about 30 miles S of town on the parkway.

Definitely the Pisgah Inn. Yes - it's a bit of a drive. But the view is quite breathtaking. Especially if you can get a table near the wall of windows. This time of year, it shouldn't be quite so jammed with tourists anyways.
