I really feel for you Wisconsinites! I lived there for several years and there aren't enough undesirable adjectives to describe those bone-chilling winters! I miss my family in the Chicago area so much, but I was just in Malibu, CA today and felt like I was was experiencing a little bit of heaven on earth. Would you rather 70 degrees or -10 degrees in January? Wow, that is a tough one!!!!

My first winter here and I'm loving it! All this cold air and snow just means more fun stuff to do.

The only downside ... the recent minus digits have been a bit rough on my dogs. Haven't been able to take them out for their usual walks.

Yes...I know I have the only dog that WILL NOT come inside in this freezing weather!!!! So...I am outside trying to bribe him in my pjs... freezing... when the other neighborhood dogs are practically begging to go inside! That's what we get for getting a Newf!!!!

Cold doesn't bother us either. It is part of living here. We have 2 beagles and they love the cold and the snow. The younger one never wants to be in the house. We have to bribe them with bones to keep them inside.

I have pups loving this cold also..As for me rather have 10 below no winds than 90 and high humidity..I can always dress warmer but police say things if run naked outdoors here. Actually above 0 for me is T shirt weather and rarely wear shoes and socks when out to mailbox and such and not bother me.

I have to say that I was a little concerned about the cold when I first came here. Everyone back in RI was talking it up and making me nervous! I LOVE snow... so no problem there. Anyway, I haven't had any issues with the cold (except for chasing the &#%*$ dog through the snow in my slippers and robe). If this is a normal winter... No Problem!

Hey, it's Wisconsin, it's January....par for the course. I agree with those who say that I'll take this over the heat and humidity. God knew what he was doing when he planted me here. That being said, I find I don't enjoy the outdoor things in winter now in the same way I did when I was young. But then I don't enjoy much of anything now as much as I did when I was young.

Thank God different people enjoy different types of weather, or else we would all be crowded into Florida and California!

Wisconsin in winter is wonderful. If this was as bad as it gets it is nothing. This weekend was the 1st time I have worn by winter jacket almost all winter. And today it is hanging back up in the closet. We have embraced all the winter activities that we could find. I love winter!!

Cold? I guess I didn't even notice it.... The more snow, the better for me. It is nice to finally get 30 some inches of snow in a month instead of that being the entire winter total. Yeah, the past few days temps are about as cold as I would want if I had to deal with it for an extended period of time. Maybe I'm part dog too since I find myself going out more when it's colder!
