You would think so but from my experience working in a city government office that payed extremely well and had a generous benefit package, my coworkers were some of the most miserable employees around. I now work in higher education and most of my colleagues seem to love their jobs and are happy.
I was being a bit facetious when I said that about government employees. Yes, I know that what you say is true and that a large percentage of them are just putting in their time to draw a pay check and then retire with a good pension. I also think that many of them could not make a go of a successful career in the private sector. Actually, anyone can be happy in any kind of job. It depends on the person and how well they really like what they are doing.
Lol at customer service being #2. I work customer service and I love being yelled at by countless clueless idiots on a day to day basis. My colleagues enjoy this as well

Why would clients aka clueless idiots yell at you for no reason??
The happiest job you can have is one you enjoy doing no matter what it is. If you enjoy it you will be good at it and reap the rewards of it both professionally and personally. No list can dictate that. A psychologist friend of mine once said, "Find something you enjoy doing, do it well and the money will follow.'
Also, "biotechnology" is an INDUSTRY, not a JOB. You can do a lot of different stuff in biotech. These people who write this stuff really are imbeciles.
They are trying to turn people into modern day slaves through media brainwashing.
