Somewhat off topic, but nonetheless helpful...If y'all think that the NYC crowd is snobby and rude (no doubt I actually haven't ever been there) I would like to introduce you to the seasonal Mexican shopper. They come to Texas during long holidays (Christmas and their holy week which is all Easter week). Rich and entitled. They drive their big old SUVs, don't speak English and shop at Neiman's Nordstrom's and Sak's for a week...and take all the good sizes. Don't even bother trying to fix stuff up during that time, honestly.

I think clientele is something you can ask at the interview. "Can you tell me how your associates deal with X, X and X...is there a procedure in place for X X and X?"

it's common, since it's part of the general marketing strategy.

ahh! we have this is Arizona too! Funny thing though, at my mall, its higher end and the Mexicans that do come through, are actually a lot more respectful and polite and oh ya, they buy everything!! easiest sales I ever have! They make me, as an associate, look very good! lol
