Remember just because your boss says they “have no problem with it”, your poor planning and inability to grasp basic work/attendance responsibilities WILL be remembered.
What I mean is supervisors may consciously or unconsciously remember when their employees are looking for special favors or accommodations to run their personal life. If you have every afternoon off in the summer except two, I would question why on earth you picked this particular week to plan a trip and what your real priorities are. “Poor planning on your part does not create an emergency on mine.”
