GLENDALE, Wis., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- An 87-year-old Wisconsin woman who celebrated her 51st anniversary Tuesday with a Milwaukee-area shoe importer says she has no plans to retire.

Rose Schulz told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel she did not understand why anyone would want to interview her.

I have a relative pushing 80 still driving a boom truck. When is it time to move over?

My friend's father still ran his law office until he was 97. While he didn't practice any longer, he was in the office every day. I think it is wonderful that someone love's their job that much.

Some people just get bored easily and really don't want to retire. I am not one of those people.

I bet she doesn't do much though. How'd you like to bump into her at crunch time?

When you can no longer do the work.

I know several guys in their 70's, and 2 in their 80's, that are still working and doing the job.

Imagine the sweetness of receiving your regular paycheck plus a monthly bonus $2,600 ($1,600 for you and $1,000 for your spouse) in the form of a social security check.

I had a relative who worked for the same company as a clerk for over 60 years, retiring when she turned 80. It was a low stress desk job that required accuracy more than a fast pace.

My mom is 77 and and RN and just retired (again) from hands on patient care, although she's still doing post-hospital release social work p/t for an agency.

I know of another woman who has been working as a cashier at a cafeteria for 30 years if not more who is not in her 80's and has no plans on retiring.

I don't plan on working that late in life, but it's nice to know that some companies value their employees--even the older ones.
