You went to a third tier school. I hate to break it to you, but your degree doesn't say Yale or Harvard, or even U-Conn for that matter. You might "think" it prepared you for soemthing, but in reality all it did was give you a piece of paper to frame and hang on the wall.
become so emotional in the workplace when the pressure is on? Crying in front of other coworkers and havng a nervous breakdown. These women went to college so why can't handle pressure?
I'm just stunned to see grown women in the workplace CRYING!!. Talk about being emotionally unstable.
I can't remember ever once seeing a woman break down and start crying at work in front of her coworkers unless she just got word that somebody had died. And I've been in the workplace for 30 years.
So what is your backup for your statement that "so many women" do this?
Yes but bosses and managers will say some harsh things to employees that college professors won't .
Even the meanest college professors won't say things to students like their worthless, a failure, loser, etc. when their unhappy. At least not in their face.
I had a friend tell me one time his manager told tell a female employee she's too stupid to be in the work force and she should find a man to marry her if there is some guy dumb enough out there.
Very doubtful that a college professor will say that to a student.
And obviously, that manager is no longer working there, right?
Okay, I'll bite. You think it's just women? A few weeks ago, a male co-worker went into a complete tizzy over a scarf. A f***ing SCARF. He thought someone stole it and he flipped out on the entire crew, all flustered and shaking-"Who stole it? I know it was one of you! Oh my God, I cannot work under these conditions! I'm going to quit RIGHT NOW." Then he called two of the other employees who had already left and asked them if they took it, then called one of our bosses and said we were all thieves.
I told him to calm down and that it was probably in his car. When he went out there, he called us from his phone, all sheepish, saying "Yeah, it's in here". No apologies for accusing us of taking his ratty POS.
So yes, men can be total drama queens as well.
P.S.-Not all women are emotional, either. Some (like myself) can be "stoic, reserved, aloof, distant, unemotional, cold"...words normally used to describe men. And I've seen men cry.
Ha, that's me, too. It's all in the way you were raised. My mother did not allow us to cry much, so we learned not to early on. My exhusband, on the other hand, could summon up tears at the drop of a hat to get attention.
That's why disgruntled men are always silent and passive aggressive. They don't cry like neurotic women do.
