another warning. Bullying runs rampant in nursing. Its not just the new nurses who deal with it either.
I am a nirse of 26 years and am leaving nursing hoping to find a good paying job doing something else. Patients complain, bosses complain, Other nurses tear each other down, You can never please anyone... I worked long 12 hour shifts in that THANKLESS job... now I dont know what else to do but I an DONE... Cant take any more of this.. I have had it. ANyone thinking of being a nurse out there THINK AGAIN!!!
I don't know where you got your information from but you need to do some research. Obviously you are not a nurse or you would know better. 80-100$k is probably going to be someone with an advanced degree such as a nurse practitioner. A new grad will be lucky to start out at $18/hr or $37,440 a year. Average is more like $45-65k. One would have to be working as a travel nurse to make anywhere close to $80k. But, I'm not saying its impossible but let's be realistic and do your research. It irritates me that someone with such little knowledge would post literally bull**** that they don't know anything about. Stick to something else besides posting on forums. This idiot is the only reason I signed up for this site and felt I had to reply. It's people like you that give this country a bad rep in education. Reiterating my point that you should do your homework first!
