With all the respect, what's the point of starting threads like 'Most anti-American places in the UK' or 'Which country is most friendly to Americans?' Is there any particular reason why are Americans so paranoid?
To answer your question, I'd say Scandinavian countries.

A lot of people in many different countries do not like Americans. But maybe they just hate the U.S. government and not the people. I can't blame anyone who hates the government.

I think a lot of Asian countries, actually. Japan, Vietnam, Korea all actually seem to hold very little resentment towards the US in general. I think the Japanese are more afraid of China.
I think Australia is probably the most friendly/has the closest link of any other country IMO.

You shouldnt make blanket comments about an entire nationality based one on poster..

Japan and Korea aren't too pleased with the U.S. military presence over there. I don't know about Vietnam; is there any resentment that originated from the war?

Wouldn't the U.S. have the closest link with Britain? I've heard of this "special relationship" thing between the two, plus the fact that we won our independence from them.

I didn't get the impression there was with the younger generation, that's why I started a topic in the Asia forum asking if there was among the older generation. I went to Vietnam but not speaking Vietnamese couldn't speak to many people about it.

Yeah, I suspect there's no resentment among the younger population, given they weren't alive during the war.
