Per Russian Wikipedia's article on Siberia:

Quote:
From a geographical point of view, Siberia is often viewed as not including the Far East, that is, only Western and Eastern Siberia, from the Ural Mountains to the Pacific/Arctic Ocean watershed divide. From a historical standpoint, the Far East is included in Siberia; several geographical reference authorities also share this point of view.
The article goes on to mention that even without the Far East, Siberia is bigger than the world's second-largest country, Canada.

And in its list of Siberian cities, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok (which are in the Far East) are notably absent.

In short, there is no clear definition of where Siberia ends. I've always been taught it ends at Providenya/Uelen.

As there is no there are and always have been. All Foreigners are accustomed to Russia called an Empire or the far East Siberia, the far East only historically can be called Siberia. As well as Russia or the Soviet Union - the Empire, only historically

Kaliningrad, Russia is closer to Copenhagen,Denmark than it is to St. Petersburg,Russia. In fact, Kaliningrad is closer to the capitals of Germany and Sweden than it is to Russia's capital.
