Oh right. So the people who can't get a decent job so have no money should pick up and move to where
If you can't get a decent job in your own country and you have exhausted all your efforts to do so, then that means it's the end of the road for you there. Time to move to another country - Canada, the U.K., China, Brazil, Australia, Indonesia, wherever.
They could apply for benefits.
But I think people should start having kids AFTER they find a decent job
Uh huh. And I'm sure that will change because you think it should be that way. So you want all the tens of millions who have no health insurance to go on welfare? Good solution.

That's what immigrants do all the time.
You might have heard of immigration laws? Do you really think anyone can just pick up and move to any of those countries? You think those countries want to be flooded with unskilled Americans who want to get free healthcare? Get a clue.
You know I don't even think americans would immigrate to the UK even if it was easy.
I probably would. I have applied for well over a 100 jobs in UK, Ireland, and mainland EU. My wife is an EU citizen so I can get residency, but employers aren't interested in out of area candidates. Plus there is nationalism, and I get that. But believe me I applied for over a 100 high tech sales jobs and nothing. I get plenty of interest in me as a local candidate in CO, but no job so far. Just keep plugging away.

I did and I know many others who did, most because they married a UK citizen but some for work. Most are happy but the ones in Scotland seem to be much happier than the ones in England or Wales. Never met one who moved to NI.

Which is exactly what Europeans did (like my grandparents and great grandparents) when times were hard in their country. They packed up and moved to a country which, at the time, held better prospects.
The US is losing a fair bit of its lustre as nĂºmero uno and will continue to do so I think. That said the US should remain economically strong for a long while yet without the political clout it once had.
This is very true. The it will decline in importance economically as well.
