And yes, in Latin America everyone cares about argentinians. We are the center of attention. No wonder they even made up jokes like the ones you posted

Yes, God is Argentinian. I have lots of Argentinian family, they are all Argentinian bashers.

First time I hear. Argentinian girls are not particularly beautiful, and they are famous because they psychoanalize men. I guess that you are saying that Argentinian girls are beautiful in comparison with "bolitas" and "boludovianos" from the Andes.

They feel ok about people from other nations, but argentinians are the first prize, and very hard to get. And according to tourists or people from other countries living here, beautiful. Other reasons is that argentina has always been major in arts: very important writers, artists, musician, even tv from argentina (that imo is crap) has been famous in latin america. But mostly writers (Borges, Cortazar, Puig are loved worlwide) and music.

You are obviously kidding. Porteño humour.

And, the most important thing, of course (and probably only a latin american person can understand this, giving how people breathe futbol here is different than the rest of the world) argentina has always been a superpower in futbol and constantly produced the best futbol players in the world, worldwide idols that can do wonders with the ball: like Maradona in past times and now, the allmighty Messi.

So, yeah its a love/hate relationship. I also dont wanna forget Buenos Aires, probably one of the most cosmopolitan cities in LA, culturally probably the most important one, a city the rest of latinamericans want to visit, and they love to hate it. Or hate to love it.
That was 60 years ago, Argentina is now way behind many economies in Latin America..and Cristinita is following the path of Chavez.

What does that have to do with us being boring? Montreal is known for being a "party town" in the states, isn't it? Montreal is the only part of Canada I've ever seen Americans in, so you'd guess they'd have that same view of our whole country.

the argentine leader is not a good leader IMO , argentina is a relatively wealthy country , they do not need to ape Venezuela , Venezuela was a different story , foreign companies controlled the government and the majority had nothing , a radical like chavez was nescessery , chavez was an excellent leader , im not a socialist , im a pragmatist who realises that sometimes a leader must harness the power of the state in order to right wrongs

it has plenty..ill say it again...Canada is not on most peoples radar, and you are talking about only one other nation, what about the rest of the world? Look at some of these threads around this forum such as 'culturally rich countries'...Canada for obvious reasons isn't mentioned once!. Canada has a very low profile compared to its neighbors to the south, internationally this is how I see the two countries:

USA is like that noisy loud co-worker you have that won't shut up, sometimes creates Conflict, is talked about for good and for bad etc..Canada is the quiet employee that does the job and is no nonsense, but lacks a powerful personality, people sometimes forget about him because he sits next to the loud guy who seems more interesting.......of course i'm exaggerating bit
