Ok, i'll take some proper photos soon but for now some stuff i found on my phone:
Today i spent the day at the beach ive been living close to all my life and used to work at (now i dont live so close anymore, so i dont go that often). It was a lovely, warm, very sunny day
This is my cat sleeping in a part of the tiny garden we have in the back and that we still need to clean up and put some plants in
I work at the airport (and actually am not allowed to take pictures hehe), this was one day at the end of a pier where you can see all the planes getting ready to take off).
These birds are big and everywhere, in my street i sometimes see a group of around 7 of them just walking around together. This one is sitting on top of a fishstand at the market. On every corner of the stand there is one, they look like statues!
My reading corner in my house
The trees around my neighbourhood, theres loads of these and i love them
The river next to my house one very early morning before work last fall
So, this is my typical Thursday in the Bay Area. From my suburb of Berkeley, to downtown San Francisco, going to work, to the Victorians of Duboce where much my family resides, and finally the neighborhood of the Sunset District, where my friends and I party. Then back home. Not all the shots are photogenic but it's just what I typically see on my quick commute across the Bay.
Descriptions going left for each column, starting at the top. I'm not the best at photographs.
Pic 1: Downtown Berkeley, mid day.
Pic 2: Downtown Berkeley Subway station (BART Train).
Pic 3: Arrival at Powell St. Subway station in San Francisco proper.
Pic 4: Downtown San Francisco, shot of Powell St. where workers, tourists, and trolley cars all rush up the hill and crowd the area.
Pic 5: Market St.
Pic 6: Typical dancers asking for money; really cool Asian guy doing beats while black guy does robotic dance moves.
Pic 7: Union Square, work area and crowds of tourists.
Pic 8: Rush hour begins, streets are packed, and MUNI Metro is stuffed. (MUNI is like a subway/streetcar for San Francisco exclusively, whereas BART is a really fast subway/Bay Area commuter line).
Pic 9: Castro District, en route to parents house. (Very famous Gay neighborhood, not too many tourists however, but it's behind the downtown areas so it's not obvious).
Pic 10: The Victorian houses of my old neighborhood.
Pic 11: Getting off MUNI Metro in the Sunset District. (These photos are usually the parts of SF not shown on post cards. They're completely safe but the architecture is very boxy and crammed.)
Pic 12: Taraval St. Many Chinese business, this isn't Chinatown however, it's a historically (and currently) Chinese American neighborhood.
Pic 13: All the way down to Ocean Beach, fog rolls in quicker here.
Pic 14: Typical housing in the backside of San Francisco. Crammed and boxy. (Photo is of Oceanview neighborhood however).
Guess what the most popular method of transport is during the warm season?
Turku market hall:
The only working tram left in the city. The tram network was discontinued in the 70's, to make way for buses and cars. Most people consider it a huge mistake these days:
These guys hang along the river all the time:
