To use Gibraltar as an example despite being in Europe, the Rock has been British since 1704. That's longer than the United States has been around. Gibraltarians are fiercely proud of being British. It's who they are, it's what they want. The world has to respect their wishes in line with the concept of self determination.
Well put.

Once again. Very little of the British empire was forcibly taken. Your knowledge of history is skant.

I personally feel France, Netherlands, UK, Spain or any European country shouldn't be allowed to have territories in other continents outside Europe.

Look its perfectly simple, if the people that live in these places want to be part of France, the Netherlands, the UK or Spain then they STAY as part of France, the Netherlands, the UK or Spain, its called democracy and what you think doesn't come into it, simples.

Britain is no longer an 18th century country, its moved into the 21st century now, Empire doesn't fit anywhere in the 21st century, instead Britain is part of the G8, NATO, The Commonwealth, The European Union, the UN and un-officially the 'Anglo world' that is the modern Empire, its peaceful, its democratic, its designed to benefit all. Britain is part of a world that is trying to do all it can for the people of the world. There are of course 'other' people in this world that still do act like the year is 95BC (ISIS anybody), instead of constantly 'harping on' about Colonial Europe perhaps you should try looking at who the bad guys really are right here, right now. I'll give you a clue it aint 'the British'!

honey, britain today is a minion of the US, doing whatever the US tells it to do to benefit American interests!

get off the high horse love

as far as picking the bad guys.... one man's terrorist, another man's hero!

it's all very subjective from where u look at it

the bad guys are elites worldwide controlling 98% of the world's population at their will.... they have no specific nationality!

France for example is a bad guy in Africa (look at their involvement in all those civil wars that go on in Africa and how they benefit selling weapons to feed those conflicts!)

like Shaniqua would say:
if u aint got no sins, dont be casting no stones sugah!

It is not, Britain is a nuclear power in its own right, Britain governs itself and contributes to government of Europe (along with its European) partners, Britain is a member of G8 (the worlds most powerful nations) and like it or not it is a great Ally of the US, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica and all other Anglo nations. Britain doesn't always 'get it right', Britain doesn't claim to, but the British (generally) are moral people that in the main do try to do the right thing. If I were you I would be grateful that Britain is a Nuclear power allied with France and the US because there are countries in this world that, if they had the Nukes, would turn this globe into 'death' at the first opportunity. Thank your lucky stars that its 'the good guys' that hold the nuclear power.

No it's not. Most times the governments asks France that they would come and kick some separatist/islamist/terrorist ass, because themselves don't have the money or modern weapons. So the French comes as a token of friendship gaining at the same time valuable combat experience. For example in Mali the French stopped the Al Qaida / ISIS advance singlehandedly. Who would think that's a bad thing?

Stop spewing propaganda about things you have no knowledge of.

lol so if the US invades a country is imperialism, but if the French do it it's local governments asking the frogs for their expertise hahahahaha

you're referencing mali, but mali is not the only time france has been in africa (mali I agree, its a fair intervention), but with rwanda, and many other conflicts in the region hmmmm
