So...everyone has an explanation?

Jars need preservatives?

Maybe it is wrong to wash bolt fabric from Joann with those silly cartoon animal prints on them. Or is it wrong to wash clothes made for animals to wear, such as the little sweaters for Toy Poodles and such?
That would be bad for Scooby, wouldn't it?

Far too many people do this, in writing and on TV and radio. This example is from an unnamed forum:

"[it] hasn't been too much of an issue for my wife and I."

... and me!

For years now, people have been overcompensating for misuse of "me" by avoiding it completely, even when it's correct.

Just divide the sentence in two to see which word to use:

"It hasn't been too much of an issue for my wife, and it hasn't been too much of an issue for I."
or
"It hasn't been too much of an issue for my wife, and it hasn't been too much of an issue for me."

edit: only a few minutes later, in another forum on the same site:

"My parents took my sister and I there when we were kids".

Aarrgh.

"My parents took my sister there, and they took I there."

"My parents took my sister there, and they took me there."

Another version that's just as annoying..."[it] hasn't been too much of an issue for my wife and myself."

They normally spell it looser, so I guess at least it's something new.

Yet another comment about the possible fates of this pair:

"some states call jail for juveniles, juvenal detention felicities, word games."

I'll say....

Call me a purist but I think our Lincoln bust deserves a better pedistal than it's current one. I dont have a pic of the current pedistal but you may recall it sits on a square made of colored stones. Maybe it should be moved to a more prominate spot.
