Description: Lifequest has lined up a variety of programs, from step aerobics to karate. The Next Generation Nautilus machines fill the weight room, along with treadmills, steppers, a Skywalker, Lifecycles, and recumbent bikes. To accommodate the wetter side of a workout, Lifequest has indoor and outdoor pools (aqua-aerobics classes are available), a whirlpool, steam room, and sauna. If your workout leaves your muscles sore, massage therapy is available. Lifequest is open Mon through Thurs from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fri from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sat from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sun from 1 to 5 p.m. The club offers a variety of rates and fees.

Description: “Do it yourself is always welcome” is the motto of Anchor Marina, where sailors are encouraged to pull in for repairs and supplies. A 35-ton travel lift is available, and mechanics are on call 24 hours a day to fix anything from a blister to a broken propeller shaft. Anchor’s staff also offer bottom painting, fiberglass work, and power washing.This 85-slip marina provides wet and dry storage, showers, bathrooms, a ship’s store, restaurant, and lounge. General hours for the marina and store are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week; the restaurant and lounge are open from 11 a.m. until the wee hours of the morning.

Description: B.W.’s is the first stop if you’re headed through the Little River Inlet into the Intracoastal Waterway and claims to have the cleanest and cheapest fuel and gas on the ICW. Managed by Michelle Coffey, it has been a part of the Little River community for more than 30 years. Transient boats are allowed to tie up at the 121-foot floating face deck, and 10 slips are available for monthly rental. Water, 110- and 220-amp electrical hookups, and gasoline and diesel fuels are also available. This marina is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with extended hours during the summer. They also offer Wi-Fi.

Description: Russell Edwards manages this 113-slip marina that offers a bathhouse and self-service laundry facilities. Monthly and yearly slip leases can be negotiated. The marina is open year-round.Coquina can take vessels up to 80 feet in length and has a dedicated cat slip. It’s the smallest of the three main marinas in the Yacht Basin, which—with a total of six marinas and 500 slips between them—is the largest enclosed harbor on the East Coast. Shower and laundry facilities are available.

Description: First built in 1983, Myrtle Beach Yacht Club is the oldest and the largest of the three main marinas in the Yacht Basin, which includes Coquina Harbour. Many of this club’s 153 slips are designated for transient use, and boaters can enjoy convenient access to both 30- and 50-amp power. There is a swimming pool, a pool bar and restaurant, as well as showers, bathrooms, laundry facilities, and water and cable TV hookups. The club offers diesel and gasoline fuels as well as a pump-out station. You’ll find an on-site ship’s store offering beer, wine, and ice, and a number of first-class restaurants are within walking distance. The black-and-white lighthouse at the mouth of Coquina Harbor marks the nautical route to the club. Hours of operation are always 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Description: This full-service marina offers dry storage and crane service that can accommodate any motorized watercraft or sailboat up to 65 feet in length. North Myrtle Beach Marina specializes in service and repairs. The ship’s store at this marina stocks an extensive array of boat supplies and fishing tackle. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Description: The Big M gambling vessel offers games of craps, blackjack, roulette, and three-card poker, as well as slot machines and video poker. Boarding time is one hour before departure, and the trips are held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon through Fri and noon to 5 p.m. Sat and Sun. Evening cruises are 7 p.m. to midnight Sun through Thurs and 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. Fri and Sat. The Big M provides round-trip shuttle service for patrons of any Myrtle Beach–area hotel.

Description: The 207-foot SunCruz VIII departs Little River twice daily to take gamblers out to sea to try their luck at a different sort of fishing—fishing for winnings. The ship features games of blackjack, poker, and Texas Hold ’Em, as well as roulette. There are 22 gaming tables and 380 slot machines aboard, and gamblers drink free. Hot lunches and dinners are available.The cruises leave from 11 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Mon through Fri and noon until 5:15 p.m. on weekends and holidays. An evening cruise departs at 7 p.m. and returns at 12:15 a.m. Sun through Thurs and 7 p.m. until 1:15 a.m. Fri and Sat.
