CES 2016 wrapped up last week in Vegas and once again the theme leaned heavily toward the connected world and the Internet of Things. For most it seems the Internet of Things hasn’t yet delivered on its promise. Many of today’s available products seem more marketing gimmick than life changer, save for a few, such as those from Nest Labs. Nest began with the Learning Thermostat and has added Dropcam and the Protect Fire and CO monitor.

Hello.

My chosen name is gelofogo, which can be translated as "Coldfire." It seems to fit my temperament. It feels of a kind with "Cassius Hueffer" from the Spoon River Anthology:

"Life was not gentle to him,
And the elements so mixed in him
That he made warfare on life,
In the which he was slain."

I am not slain, but I find myself arising over and over again from my own ashes, like a befuddled phoenix wondering why its tail smokes....

As I transfer my journal from one notebook to another, I realize just how broken I was... I am still on the path or reintegration but that hopeless I felt, the apathy, has since disappeared.

I am blessed and fortunate. God is good

So now all the possessions are possessed again.

Even though I'm still vagrant, time to start the process of donating to those less fortunate than I.

I truly don't make this walk alone 😀
