He never bought JPN new, though did own one second-hand from me (my 1981 Celica Supra, another story). I grew up in the suburbs north of Detroit, Oakland County. (Oakland...

Reading a thread about Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter this evening. The last was not explicitly mentioned, but should have been. They're all similar flavors of the same poison.

Mid-July 2012, I jettisoned Facebook with notice to all my contacts. I'd had "enough" of a number of people in real life, their miserable behavior finally boiling over my point of no return. Yes, I know: what defines us is not necessarily others' behavior, but how we react. And I...

Great city for a hipster, LGBT person, or a socially inept nerd but not for me.

Inequality? Really?

I politely ran off a Democratic operative going door-to-door in my neighborhood (Kirkland WA) the other day, seeking to reelect a Congressman. I did not catch if it was state, or national, grass-roots campaigning. After my brush-off, she started to get persistent so I shut the door before my Irish temper came out.

Seattle metro continues to march Left. You've read about our mandatory $15/hr minimum wage, to be phased in over a three to seven year period, starting April 2015. Several...

In thread after thread dealing with children I read responses like "she is too smart to need to follow the rules" or "he must be bored in school and that is why he is getting into trouble" or similar responses
