Post-Election, Pre-Inauguration Musings from a Conservative

Posted 01-12-2017 at 02:00 PM by Blondebaerde

Well, let's go through it from a Conservative voter perspective. White male, 40s, well-educated, well-employed here who after careful consideration made the choice to vote Trump/Pence. I'm "trying" to avoid Schadenfreude, it's in bad taste, but I do have my moments. Moving along:

I, and we, are as American as Alt-Left for-certain. Your opponents in the election cycle were, and are, just as gravely concerned and pray that many wrongs will be righted now with the election of the Trump/Pence ticket. Of course.

Being, I hope reasonably sensitive to Alt-Left POV, here is what is "wrong"(?) with your opponent's point of view?

* Juvenile comments about women are definitely wrong, we're agreed there. No excuse forthcoming;
* If Roe v. Wade is toppled, sanctioned murder under the banner of "choice" will be disavowed. "Individual Rights" do not include murder;
* The United States will forge its own way on so-called climate change, based on our national economic interests first and foremost;
* About Keystone Pipeline and similar: these projects will absolutely go through, God willing, to bring us steps closer to energy independence and economic prosperity. International cooperation with China is necessary, at this time, for economic prosperity of both countries;
* Good business is good for the overall prosperity of American people. I'm not interested in the problems of the world outside of maintaining our massively-booming economy and restoring prosperity to the economic engine of the United States. Nor are, I suspect, most of the ninety-something million others who voted as I did.

We're hopefully now on a path to restoration of American supremacy on the world stage, repudiation of idleness and giveaways within our own country, a decadent rot. We don't need "consensus" for anything, or to listen to European and other business-hostile Statists for another moment. I personally believe that gibberish is on the wane in Europe, we shall see about gains rejecting those positions in France and Germany in their upcoming (2017) elections.

The Middle East can solve its own problems; I suggest the people take up arms and overthrow psychopathic regimes on their own dime. Let the Arab Spring continue, as it will. Less of a strategic concern to United States interests, the better.

Hope that was enlightening, if only slightly.
