With profuse apologies to one Charles Dickens, I couldn't help but think of some awkward or tense moment in a parking lot near me. And please forgive me, folks, if the following subject gets a few of you a little queasy or grossed out, so if you're eating or drinking anything at this time, you may skip this post and come back to it when you have the stomach. Just saying.

I'd try to do your public spaces more like Starbucks...or hotel space. Somewhere people want to hang out. You have to make it exciting for the agents to want to come work and share at the office.

I'm not saying it won't be a catalyst or a harbinger, but this prospective plane can kick-start something positive, as I've always believed the West Texas economy can grow and can thrive. And things are already happening in Lubbock, Midland, and Abilene, but they're just not going fast enough.

Could the following be the thing that puts Abilene over the top?
