Week off

I just finished my consulting work for our long term center today. I've been working since last Friday and happy to be off now for a week.
We've had rain too, but it's almost ended.
I'm going to keep applying everywhere this week. God, hopefully will answer my prayers and will help me move to a larger city so I can buy a house. This is all I want from life now. I want stability. I hope my son will be patient with me about that. I wanted to move to sacramento with or without a job,...

So after joining the Army in 2002, 3 tours to Iraq with the great 3rd Infantry Division from FT. Stewart GA, a complicated knee surgery in 2009 which ultimately lead to a medical retirement in 2011, I had NO idea as to what I wanted to do in the civilian world! Sure I knew I could manage personnel after leading my own platoon as a NCO (non-commissioned officer) but as many veterans before me have learned, it is very difficult to translate what you did in the military to a civilian resume. The numbers don't add up for having children in modern American society, raised to an upper middle class standard. Of my peers with children, almost all have both parents working.
