Even the Clergy have Representation

Posted 03-11-2014 at 07:11 PM by Fortoggie

A minister in the United Methodist Church told me that he was in fact a member of a strong union albeit the negotiation is carried on in a cool gentlemanly way. Baptist churches have pulpit committees that speak on behalf of the minister and the church staff. However the blue collar worker that attends these churches and is expected to support them is in all probability working without any representation at all.
Over the past thirty years wages have slipped here in the U.S. and so have benefits...

Posted 03-11-2014 at 02:34 PM by woodworkingmenace (History)

So far, Ive taken my Wife to the Chiropractor, and he told her to give him two weeks, and it should be 'cured'.. or at least, she should be with out pain..

Yeaaa Right!

Its only been since January 27th since she went to the Emergency Room for the severe pain in her leg, that she has been suffering all this time.

Privacy

Posted 03-11-2014 at 11:45 AM by Happy in Wyoming

Smith & Wesson has long been known for excellent hammerless (concealed hammer) revolvers. The individual can carry one in a large pocket with his or her hand holding the gun. If need be it can be shot through the pocket because there's nothing to snag. I love this concept but I also love to be able to pull back the hammer so that I can make a carefully aimed shot. S&W has had the answer for sixty years. With the Bodyguard the hammer is shrouded so it allows snag-free carry as wel as...

Survivalist Wheelbarrow

Posted 03-11-2014 at 10:56 AM by Happy in Wyoming

In reading accounts of crossing the Great Plains in the early days we quickly learn that not all of the emigrants traveled by Conestoga wagon or even had horses or oxen. Some of the more impecunious simply pushed a handcart or a wheelbarrow. To the casual inquirer a handcart seems to be the more sensible choice. It has two wheels, can haul a heavy load while remaining stable. But it has problem in that it requires a relatively wide path of even ground, something not always available on tthe...
