Super Bowl Gives A Rare Occurrence This Time

Posted 01-31-2021 at 10:42 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Y'all will have plenty of reasons to tune in to the Super Bowl next week. Based on tradition (and the course of habit), one would anticipate the game itself or the commercials which the proceedings will be graciously interrupted with for the sake of making memories. Super Bowl LV. It's as old as this writer.

There are reasons why I haven't watched the NFL this year and actually have reservations about watching Super Bowl Five-Five. For starters, if the players...

Adults...

Posted 01-31-2021 at 09:19 AM by MarciKS

It's no wonder kids aren't that fond of adults. They sometimes have a tendency to take the fun out of things. They see the world from a serious point of view. I don't wanna be one of those kinds of adults. I'd rather lean a little more to the side of immaturity if it means a more fun and fulfilling life.

Life now

Posted 01-29-2021 at 04:51 PM by ouijeewoman

I hope this year isn't a 2020 repeat.

Posted 01-29-2021 at 10:59 AM by MarciKS

Now there's news afoot about these new strains of COVID and the scientists are finding that our vaccines may not cut it. One thing I received in email today from the NYT said it's only 50% effective against the UK strain. Someone else saw a story about it not being effective against the African strain at all. I think we've had enough already. These scientists need to get their crap together and start figuring out how they're gonna help us or none of us are gonna survive this. JMO!

Clock watchers aren't necessarily a bad thing

Posted 01-28-2021 at 11:56 AM by ackmondual

It is typically a negative term...
clock watcher. noun. an employee who demonstrates lack of interest in a job by watching the time closely to be sure to stop work as soon as the workday or shift is over.

However, I'd beg to differ. I'd argue that so called "clock watchers" actually respect everyone's time. They're attentive enough to come in on time. They do a full day's of work. Some of them do put in extra hours when they can.

As for as leaving...
