McCain only chose her because he was running against a black guy. What better way to fight that then some folksy woman? I actually remember people saying they would vote for McCain because they liked Palin....?
He chose her because his handlers informed him that his deficit with women voters against Obama would be “fatal” if he chose yet another old white guy.

Sarah Palin was always pretending to be someone she wasn't, and she was always mainly focused on what was best for Sarah Palin. The bad side of politicians, exaggerated, was what she was.
