No, the symbol of the swastika co-opted by the Nazis is no different than that used in Hindu, Buddhist and Jain spiritual traditions. Hitler distorted what is even today a sacred symbol to Hindus for his own nefarious ends.

Now, believe it or not, my grandparents/others' grandparents/etc did not use Usenet. I understand that you believe it must be something from Usenet, since Usenet is *really* old. There are things older than Usenet, though. I grew up in one of the border states. I've lived years in the deeper south / multiple deep south states. That saying is not rooted in Usenet. It is rooted in something else.

I am not a touchy feely / PC at any cost sort of guy. But I've had my share of observations of inherit racism as we start to get generations between the 60s and now. I've also had more than my fair share of government sponsored equal opportunity classes. My comment on using that still stands... whether you believe it came from the 80s or not.

I just said that almost as nicely as possible.
I am probably old enough to BE one of your grandparents. I grew up in a segregated part of the midwest, and I've been fired from at least one job because I was 'too friendly' with some of the blacks I worked with. In the sense being used here in this forum, PKB is indeed one of the old abbrevs from the old days of usenet - and a lot of them have transferred to a kind of shorthand for texting phones - the kids using them seem to think somehow they invented them all. If you do a search on the net, you'll come up with about 35 pages of abbrevs used, and most of them currently pertain to forums and newsgroups If you think it's a racist comment, that's your problem. But that's just MNSHO, YMMV.

She apparently mixes designer clothing with regular boutique and bargain store buys. She spends quite a bit on glasses and sunglasses as well as shoes. She has quite a keen fashion sense. Please vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin or register to vote if you have not! Visit www.JohnMcCain.com for more information!

I'm not a fan of hers, but I think some of her suits are nice.
