I guess it sounds like a good idea. Here is the link.

U.S. Intensifies Screening for Travelers From 14 Nations - NYTimes.com

Excellent. I noted the civil rights groups are crying about this...oh well, anyone from any of those nations flying to the U.S. and don't like it, then it's simple, DON'T come to the U.S.!

I hope they give me a full body scan when I come back on the 12th! Then I can wink and smile at the lady running the monitor.

Random thoughts about the use of scanners are airports:

1. Irate Muslim husbands not wanting their wives and daughters being viewed in what would be perceive as an invasive and personal manner

2. Bomb "mules" similar to drug mules. How do you scan for explosives that have been swallowed?

3. Trains being blown up and successfully killing as many people as an airline flight, with a lot less screening. Or a shopping mall. Or an NFL stadium. Or a rock concert (where our children are the victims). Or.....

Some interesting thoughts there. For the irate Muslim husbands not wanting their wives and daughters viewed: Very simple, they don't want that then they don't travel to the U.S.

As for #2 and 3... your quess is as good as mine.
