There is no such thing as an inferiority complex going on. It is simply that the US is appropriating words that describe a whole landmass and all its inhabitants respectively since 1507.

You would react the same way if it were the other way round.

It's too late to do anything about it. You seriously don't expect us to call ourselves United Statsians, come on.

It was a Unitedstatesian that coined the word and quite a few use it.

But, the way you talk about this it clearly shows you actually acknowledge the fact that the US lacks a real name and a demonym for its people.

I already posted a link some pages back - 30 or 31 - indicating that the term is regarded as a "nonce word" (aka, a pointless nothing) by the most of the scholars who know of it, and it is generally agreed on here that no one actually uses it. I never heard it once in my lifetime spent in the US.

We do have a real demonym... American I know that keeps you up at night and I'm sorry for that, but, it's the truth.

I didn't acknowledge anything I was trying to look at it from your perspective that's all, let's not jump to a hasty conclusion.

Do us all a favor define what a real name and a real demonyn is.

One more question, the people whom you claim use the demonym Unitedstatsian do they do so in while speaking English(which I doubt) or do these individuals refer to themselves as an "Estadounidense" while speaking Castilian?
