I didn't particularly liked "Los colores...", it's just "meh", not good nor bad.

Some foreign movies I liked and come to my mind:

La jaula de oro (Guatemala)
7 cajas (Paraguay)
25 watts (Uruguay).

You don't like alot of things. Lol

The movie is decent and everyone has different perspectives regarding movies. But at least putting the names out there gives people options.

Uruguay has great movies, I am rarely disappointed with Argentine and Uruguayan cinema.

it's normal, there's too many people doing films, at least 70% of them aren't good at it.

I saw a Colombian movie named Los colores de la montaña that I thought was pretty good.

There are some Hollywood type love stories coming out of Mexico that aren't too bad, when you are in the mood for those types of movies . I would recommend:
Cambio de ruta,
Casese quien pueda.
Thanks for the recommendations. I will look those titles up.

7 cajas is pretty good, I have it on dvd. The others I haven't heard of, i will look them up.

Heres another recommendation. Voces Inocentes, It's a Mexican production about a little boy growing up in war time El Salvador.

Love that movie. Shakira also has a few really great songs featured in the movie and the movie sound track .

It was OK, not nearly as good as the book. I also saw memories of my melancholy whores, not nearly as good as the book either, but that is often the case with books turned into movies.

I couldn't even finish watching Love in the times of Cholera, I thought it was very poorly executed.

"Satanás" is the exception. The book by Mario Mendoza is one of the lamest I've ever read. The film adaptation is one of the best Colombian movies; great performance by Mexican actor Damián Alcázar.
