^^^. Go read the WA and Idahoho forums. According to them those places suck worse! Thry are full of drugs and crime and it either rains all the time - rain sucks - or it's 118 below zero all winter.
So let's face it, everywhere except Aspen and Malibu sucks. Can someone pay it forward and loan (give) me about 30 million dollars so I can buy a modest home in either place. Thanks.
Or maybe a million five so I could get a summer place in Flagstaff, that wouldn't suck too bad.

California cities are mostly anti-growth with a few exceptions such as Temecula and Murrieta in Riverside County.
I remember when they changed it to Rancho California for a little while. Inland Empire, the armpit of SoCal

The weather, the scenery, the people, the whole West Coast attitude, and the job market. Out there you can go from Call Center to call center for years until bridges would burned. It is a dynamic area. There is always a new company moving in. There is constant change.

Most of the comments the OP is saying is beyond inaccurate. It's not even worth taking the time to address. I grew up in southern California, and live in South Florida (Miami metro). Arizona was my favorite place of all and when you leave Arizona, you take a lot of it for granted.
