Oh my gawd, is that for real? Cant ya tell its an Az plate by the green and yellow design with a cactus? Where else would have a cactus plate, New Hampshire?? Sheesh!

Perhaps you missed the stated fact that AZ has dozens of different license plates. Sheesh.

And the issue isn't that cops can't remember all of them. The issue is that many of them look like plates from other states.

Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is. The state wants you to display your license plate completely unobstructed on your vehicle. Seems reasonable to me.

In reality, not all Az plates have the cactus on them anymore. We have so many different designs now WITHOUT the cactus. Therein lies the problem. Many of the designs actually are very similar to other states designs - the POW plate being one.

Because, Arizona law requires registering the vehicles in Arizona if one is working here (permanent) or going to school.

One thing taken into consideration is that some of these cars come from states that do not require vehicle emission testing - they can, and do, contribute to bad air quality.

Then, the issue of revenue.

Actually the state of Arizona doesn't require emissions testing either. Maricopa county might require it, but it's probably the only county in the state that does.

And actually, it is a state law - predicated on population within the county
