I would have definitely remembered you. That said while I know you dislike the politics of those in charge and aren't sure of the direction your country is going, you still make threads about National Day, strike me as someone who's basically happy in life, and realize that while you might different choices for your country also realize that the grass isn't necessarily greener on the other side. Maybe I am wrong though.
And no my visit was almost year ago now.
Indeed 1 thing I am very aware is even if the govt changes hands, the new govt may not make significant changes to the lives of Singaporeans .. Yes Singaporeans are overwhelmed by massive nos of foreigners and how we do not get to take charge of our Cpf money and high ministerial Salarys , but a new govt might not necessarily change that.
To me . I feel that Singaporeans are mainly unhappy abt 3 things :
1 influx of foreigners
2 our CpF money basically lack of control of how we can use it
3 high ministerial salaries

Isn't high salary the only thing that keeps your government officials from corruption?
It is quite interesting to define just what exactly defines people's migration movements; i could have stayed in Australia but I choose to make my life in singapore.
I am not sure why, when so many of my friends wanted to spend their lives in Australia but I wanted to live in a big city. I visited Brisbane, KL, Bangkok, Gold Coast, Cairns and Adelaide and I knew that Singapore was better in many respects except for the price of alcohol and the cost of food.

Singapore have its pros and cons, like any other place . I guess you find Singapore fitting for your lifestyle that's why you choose to stay here. To each his/her own
Do you think the death of LKY and the uniting of Singaporeans the past week of mourning will have any effect on the outcome of the next elections ?
