Honk honk....

Rifleman-

June is very appreciative of your comments. --Especially the "honk honk" so long as your Rifleman's rifle isn't pointed upwards during hunting season as the geese are flying overhead.

As regards the male view on things, (and June is going to provide you with the female view, as well) never let it go unremarked that yes, "attractive" people tend to have a somewhat better edge over the less attractive individuals in this world. They tend to capture our attention. Be that as it may, the way June sees it, (at least in June's world) lust is lust, and so be it. Meaning, if June (for whatever reason) happened to think that McCain was "hot" she would no doubt sit in front of her television tonight, watching the debates with avid attention, and just be hoping to pieces for a close up shot of John McCain. June would no doubt feel the pitter patter of her little lusting heart, all the while that her initially distracted brain screamed: "Mmmmmmm...!!!"

--BUT THAT'S IT!

Look, there's no shortage of good looking men out there. (Who just so happen to hold Ph.D.s and appreciate fine art, as well.) There's no shortage of good looking men any day of the week, any moment of the day that June cares to turn on her T.V. There's no shortage of opportunities for all of us to lust our little brains out. HOWEVER! For heaven sakes, guys, we're talking about the state of the nation, the economy, the next American President. --And at a time when things ain't lookin' too good in the ole U.S. of A. (Anyone see where June's going here?) In short: I want someone who is able to run the damn country, and who cares what he or she looks like?

June has nothing against good looking men. She actually happens to like them. -And if they happen to cause June to indulge in "impure thoughts" then June's feeling is "My day just got a whole lot better!" (This is the atheist subforum, and June's a heathen, so June can say that. And if she can't, then Alpha will infract me.) But June also has a brain that accompanies her libido. The next leader of the free world could look like the Elephant Man for all June cares, (or, for that matter, her ex) so long as he can do the damn job! Now June realizes that women tend to be a tad bit better at compartmentalizing our, uh, "feelings" than men. That's just plain fact. June acknowledges that it's a gender thing to a certain extent, given the latest study June read as regards how often throughout the course of any given day men think about sex verus women. () Nonetheless, all June can say in ending is this:

No, she doesn't think John McCain is hot.

And she tends to think that the more enlightened members of the male species are capable of holding more than just one thought in their heads at the same time, and come down on the side of an informed politicial decision as regards who they wish to vote for. --At least that's what June's hoping, so don't disappoint me, guys.

Oh, and for what it's worth, Freedom, as regards your claim that the attraction to Sarah Palen is a purely motherly, comforting thing?

JUNE DOESN'T BELIEVE YOU!

--And if June's wrong, then June's a tad "concerned" about you, (if ya know what I mean.) But that's okay. June can help with those unresolved "mother issues." And so on that note, June signs off on this post with a "honk, honk" and a and says:

Let the debates begin!

Ah, but my dear, sweet man, neither can I. Remember, all June can "cook" is coffee.

(She can bake, though.)

You know I actually thought about making a comment about your culinary skills but decided not to. Afterall, I've just barely mastered the art of the tv dinner. But getting back to the topic, I just want to thank John McCain for providing the folks at City Data for something amusing to discuss as well as the rest of the nation. Wasn't it Frank Sinatra who sang the song "The Lady Is A Tramp"?

Please always remember that my messages contain, by Federal law, at least 50% "attempted humor "(as an ex-Canuck, it's actually "humour", but why quibble). It often goes unnoticed or taken as, gulp, sarcasm or worse!

Just to set your comfort and acceptance levels to HIGH, let me assure you that though I've been seen on the hunting fields from time to time, I'm also a wildlife biologist, member of National Audubon and an avowed lover of b. canadensis. At this time of year, what can possibly be more spiritual than a V-flight passing over, honking to us all and saying farewell to our little local mountain valley as they get to head for the Great Salt Lake or central CA. such luck, such a portable life! Jealosy!

And finally, I'm sad that Ms. Palin's (1) getting such a bad rap as she's apparently too much of a feminist challenge for many liberals, but also, yup, she IS inexperienced. But she's probably a fast learner!

Off we go to the debates! Watch and learn. too bad McCain's such a slowpoke!

Are you single? No good woman feeding you?

My wife hasn't worked outside the home since we started our family, she is in her element. Loves the Homemaker life, she even teaches our kids...

And the Amish have it going on,,, wait till an EMP pulse hits this country, they are going to be the go to people... (how do you do this without electricity)....

It's okay, Freedom. June can help you work through those unresolved Oedipal urges. It's oh, so common to transfer those unconsious feelings onto other women. (Sarah Palen, Freedom. Sarah Palen.) Trust me, you'll be fine. Just fine. And if talk therapy doesn't help, there's always meds.
