I'm trying to get feedback on my thread (fruitlessly) but can tell you that Roswell is very tree-lined, almost flat out forest-like which I really like about it, as well as the rolling terrain. From what I understand the secondary roads in Roswell can get very congested during rush hour, though probably no different or worse than what you experience in NJ currently.

Roswell is very green. Massive trees are everywhere, including on the main street downtown.

It depends on where in Roswell you begin, and where in Alpharetta you end. it can literally be a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute one. If you job is west of 400, then you would be much better off looking for housing on the same side of the highway.

I'm from NJ. I don't think the northern suburbs here are as congested as, say Bergen County.

All suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Edit: I suppose Craig's List is one place to start.
Definitely check craigslist - you can find in-law suites. I currently rent one in Roswell in a nice and safe area for $500 per month, utilities included. And I have no lease. It seems many of the houses here were built with the in-law suite.
