If the Braves already have 11,000 spaces owned or leased that will take care of the majority of fans attending games because the overwhelming majority of those attending games will not arrive by themselves, but come as families or with friends who they will carpool with ahead of time - who wants to pay $20 or more to park at the stadium? So, if you have some families of four diving in one car and you also have out of town groups who come in buses (e.g. church youth groups) this will take up a lot of the load in a smaller number of spaces.

The largest number of attendance will be for the weekend games when it will be easier to use the garages in the nearby office parks. I would not anticipate there being many sold out games during the week.

I wish the citizens of Cobb county the best of luck, truly; staying on top of the Braves, who have proven to be rather cunning and ruthless, will require diligence. But quite frankly I'm just glad they're no longer our problem in the city of Atlanta.

I never heard people in the city of Atlanta complaining about how mean and ruthless the Braves were until they moved to Cobb.

I don't guess you listened to the people from the city who talked about trying to redevelop Turner Field's parking lots. The Braves insisted on controlling the development on the land—which didn't even belong to them. It was public property, and the Braves insisted that they get to choose the developer and limit what could be built there, so it didn't compete with concession or ticket sales inside the stadium.

And when they decided to move, the negotiated with Cobb county in secret, springing the decision on the city of Atlanta at the last moment before it became public, leaving the city to scramble for a solution. Fortunately, we came up with a pretty darn good one.

Those kinds of facts are getting lost to time, but let's not forget that the Braves have been quite ruthless in their dealings with city and county governments for a while now.

All of these new places need to open up already! There is a severe shortage of dining in the battery until they do.
