The Atlanta Braves on Wednesday unveiled the first roster of all-star restaurants and the name for the massive, mixed-use development that will surround SunTrust Park.
The team announced five restaurants for its new ballpark: a new steakhouse from Chef Linton Hopkins, Superica from Chef Ford Fry, Antico Pizza Napoletana, CRÚ Food & Wine Bar, and a brewpub called The Tomahawk Tap Room that will feature Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q.

Appears like a good start to a good lineup of eateries.

Whether you supported the Braves relocation or not, you have to admit this is a pretty impressive development.

The usual suspects will be highly disappointed because there are no mentions of a Applebees, a Waffle House and/or a Cheesecake Factory being added to this development.

Can't wait to take a MARTA train there...in 20 years.

Unfortunately that is probably true.

The Braves have been in their present location for 50 years and you still can't take a train there.

As much as I recognize the dire need for MARTA (train) in Cobb County, as well as a commuter rail throughout the Atlanta metro. Personally as someone who put in almost 30 years riding the subways to school and work, if I never take another ride on a subway car it will be too soon.

Of course that's not realistic because I do take the train when I return to NYC, and have taken subways while vacationing in London, Barcelona, etc.

Wrong. Georgia State station is within easy walking distance. It's true that there's no Turner Field station, but false to say you can't take a train there. You can most definitely take a train there, just as you can take a train to L5P, Piedmont Park, and any number of other major destinations that don't have their own dedicated MARTA station.
