Since when is beer only $4-$6 at the Tabernacle?? I have always paid I think $9! It is pretty ludicrous.

The tabernacle is one of my favorite places to see a show, even though it has a lot of shortcomings. The vibe in the place is just really cool, and you can't beat the feeling of the space. But yeah, it's way too expensive to drink. The stairs don't bother me because I never go upstairs. I've seen plenty of bands there, and I think the acoustics aren't too bad, although I've heard some really badly-mixed shows there. The Fox is the absolute worst for acoustics.

I really like Terminal West. I don't like any place with seats.

Seats are important for the old and infirm, however, and we enjoy music as much as anyone else.

Well, obviously, there should be seats. But, I don't like if I must have a seat. I like to move around and jam with the crowd. Not be stuck to a 2x2 spot.

Only seen two shows there but I love it. The place just seems conducive to a fun show. The last show I saw there allowed for seemingly unlimited access to the stage for stage divers. I'm too old/smart for that mess, but it makes for a fun show watching from the side

Now, it seems the Masquerade may make its digs permanent.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that permits have been filed for to fit out more spaces at the old Undeground mall to accommodate Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory—the venue’s three performance areas.

Filings indicate the old food court and some retail spaces will be swallowed up to become a new two-story concert space. Pimsler Hoss Architects, a firm known for adaptive-reuse projects, is leading the $700,000 conversion.

I'm very pleased over this prospect as I think Masquerade could set the tone for the future incarnation of UA.

Masquerade signs long term deal to remain at Underground Atlanta.

The relocation to Underground was intended to be a temporary one, but the business said its current home in Kenny's Alley will become a permanent one.

"The primary consideration [for remaining in Underground] was the near universal support and approval we have received from the concert going public," the club said in a statement. "Based on comments we have received and the actual increase in attendance and bookings we have experienced since moving, we are certain this is the right move.

"We are happy to now be a part of the revitalization of South Downtown, which includes the new Mercedes Benz Stadium and future development of Peachtree and South Broad," it said. "With Georgia State University virtually surrounding us with its ever-growing student population, and the nearby development of its new Sports Complex at the former Turner Field site, we are now in the middle of a growing community."
