Hi,

I recently took a look at a few properties in Lawrenceville and I was referred to this Community called Alcovy Falls off of 316.

I liked the community for the most part. The only thing I found concerning was that there was a salvage (or pull-a-part) yard next door to the community. Is this a problem for real estate appreciation? Probably a dumb question.

Has anyone else visited this community? What did you think of the area? Is this a safe place? HOw are the schools?

Thanks

Alcovy is a cheaper neighborhood with homes in the 150 range very close to 316. Cannot speak for the neighborhood, but the schools are Dacula Middle and High which is a good system. Best suggestion would be to travel around the neighborhood on the weekend and evening hours to in order to get a feel.

Thanks for that info. How about that auto salvage which is next door? Any health concerns or other issues I should consider?

Well, I doubt if it will help resale.
Did you check Dacula/Auburn? I guess the main question is what is your price range?
One thing about the Atlanta area or anywhere for that matter, you will get what you pay for and sometimes even get it if you pay for it.

Another point, there are many foreclosures abound less than 3 years old and some never even lived in. You may be surprised what you can find. If your working with a Realtor ask, if they don't want to be bothered by that, then find another Realtor.
