You simply are pretending by utilizing credit instead of purchasing with cash. When you have the ability to own and purchase with cash that equals a Mecca. Heck just listen to all the bankruptcy commercials on all the popular black radio stations in Atlanta. Especially debt stoppers. Also those who own and run Atlanta for real probably reside in Buckhead and I guarantee they have neither a house or car note.
THIS, it real talk.

Blacks get caught up and lose it all just to have something. I'm working with a brother from Atlanta(where in Ohio) he's visiting for a project. Everyday he's online looking at: BMW, Lexus,Audi,etc....he told me, "I'm about to get one...I was approved for $20K from my bank"

I laughed to myself. At 47y/o(he's 47), you should have $20K CASH the the bank.

Like even though da Atlanta is shirking there black population there other counties like Clayton County, Henry County, Newton County, Rockdale County, and Douglas County like increasing lot of black population like I saw Clayton County at 51% African American and now I see 66.1% African American so I cannot see the difference between Atlanta losing black population. Like I know there little African American at the north part of Alpharetta GA. So they ain't losing black population is that more race is coming at Atlanta. That all I have to say.

The city of Atlanta isn't actually losing black population as proportionally as people would like to believe. It is just gaining more non-black population at a higher rate than blacks. However, most of the increase in black population in surrounding counties are non-natives moving into the region and happening to reside in these places versus Atlanta city proper.

I don't think another city can replace Atlanta as being a "Black Mecca"....DC changed, but I don't see that being as successful in the deep South. With history, black people are here, have been here, and we're not going anywhere....CNN will have a pretty interesting special about Black entrepreneurs moving to this city on Sunday night, and I suggest anybody who has a curiosity to tune in.

It' so laughable how this is a topic in any major city board on this website... I frequently read things like "Black people spend too much", "Will white population surpass black population", "Do blacks run things in this town", "Why are so many blacks trying to be uber rich", "Blacks are new money"...I mean come'on... You can't win in this world when your black. If your wealthy, (how you got your money will be questioned and how much you have will be questioned), and if your a bum on the news, well....you fit the stereotype.....So WTF do people care in the beginning.

It appears people tend to not want "Black People" (All ethnicity of black) in any prosperous city, or to have a piece of the demographical pie that is higher. I wonder why? Regarding the above post, people always want to mention how people in Atlanta, "Specifically AA" spend too much, and are broke but this happens in all major metros". Oprah Winfrey did a special on a couple in Orange County trying keep up with the Jones who were surviving on cash advances. And you would never know....

And last, Why are do people care how the next man is spending their money, or how broke the next man really is. Stay in your lane and mind your own business. If you got 20K in the back and your lights are on, and bills are paid keep it moving.

The only place I've seen that meme is on Facebook. A Google search and CNN's Sunday schedule turns up nothing; it's not real. Plus it's not like it's the 90's anymore, and while Atlanta is still the leading metro in terms of attracting Black domestic migrants, its numbers have cooled on that front and other metros have seen a big uptick in Black domestic migrants. So at best, such a story would be a bit outdated.

Is that really true though?

Population Growth of Black and/or African American Population (Alone) from 2013 to 2014:
01. Atlanta CSA: + 59,034
02. Houston CSA: + 32,923
03. Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex CSA: + 29,318
04. Miami/Fort Lauderdale CSA: + 26,528
05. New York CSA: + 16,243
06. Washington DC/Baltimore CSA: 14,904
07. Boston CSA: + 9,216
08. Chicago CSA: -1,066
09. Philadelphia CSA: -1,435
10. San Francisco Bay Area CSA: -2,038
11. Detroit CSA: -6,618
12. Los Angeles CSA: -10,525

Based on census.gov, Atlanta might end up surpassing black growth from last decade. Houston, the next after Atlanta is nearly 27k less than Atlanta's black growth and that's during Houston's golden age and during Atlanta's weaker period of growth. Just sayin.

I live in Dallas and out of all cities in the USA it is the least "black mecca". Even the black strip clubs (2) are terrible here.
