The proximity of that area to major centers in Evans and west Augusta could be a detriment. But you never know. Developers always look at a variety of demographics when building including population, income, etc. but they also look at existing development in the area as well. I’m no expert, just thinking out loud. But in all honesty that area along with exit 5 will likely explode over the next few years.

Unrelated, but I’m just completely ecstatic to see all the development in the downtown area myself.

Went in Cabela's once and that was enough for me. Their prices are outrageous. Can find much better deals at locally or regionally owned sporting and camping stores or online.

Sound like you knew that before you went in there. If you shopping on a budget look Online, but don’t complain when Augusta and surrounding cities can’t land top shopping stores. We have more then enough dollars stores and Walmart’s located here. If this store was located anywhere else beside Augusta I believe the your statement will be something like this Augusta can’t land a Cabela’s like store because they don’t have the income to support it or I love Cabela’s prices I can see them being around for long time.

The Cabela's beside Costco is one of their small stores..a baby Cabela's. Not the megastores you may have been to. With Al the hype over that place it is rather underwhelming but still expensive
