Another race where last minute qualifying attempts are ruined by a crash, usually resulting in a yellow flag, but in this instance a red.
I wonder if anybody has ever done a “moneyball” type mathematical analysis to see if, over a whole season of racing, waiting for the very last minute to gain a tiny bit because the “track is in the best condition” is actually the smartest strategy?
Maybe going out with a couple of minutes remaining when the track is clear is the best.

As the great philosopher Yogi Berra once said, it's déjà vu all over again.
... I wish we could have Varsha, Hobbes, and Matchett back at the desk.
Leave Hobbes behind! Too much juicy mouth noise on the open mike! My God, the Skye Sports guys MUST be getting paid by the word. They NEVER shut up, even for a second.
I was lucky to see a season broadcast in South America. You could hear the cars, and the announcer would come in maybe every minute or so with some kind of actual information. Otherwise, lovely, lovely 12 cylinder symphony!

I miss the days when things like number of cylinders and redline went unregulated, V-8s, V-12s, and even an H-16 in the same race. And V-10s at 19,000+ RPMs made their own kind of music.
Bottas only a 5 place grid penalty for knocking out two cars and damaging at least one other?? He should start the next race from the pits.
