I had a '74 Vega, When in high school. It was called " Spirit of America", White with red and blue accents. I dont have a pic but I found one on the web. Not what you call a great car, but my first. It actually drove ok, with no problems the 3 or so years I had it.

Learned to drive with a 1929 Model-A with a rumble seat. You started it with a hand crank.
1st car I personally owned was 1939 Ford Sedan, green in color, cost $75.00.

Toward to the end of 1990, I bought my first car in Dallas, TX for $700, a 2nd hand 1983 navy color Ford EXP:

It was a POS, it burned as much oil as it did gas but it as my very first car and I loved it nevertheless!

Haven't seen one in fifteen years, even in the junkyards who hang on to 80's cars....wow, certainly a time trip.
