I wish I could remember, but I don't! V-8 is all I can recall. Later in life, I bought a 1968 Fury with a 4 barrel 383 though. I had to leave it in Colorado when I moved out east because I wasn't sure it would make the trip and it was too big for the towing apparatus most moving companies have available.
Attached is pictures of my first and second car. First was a 1978 Chevy Camaro with 250cid inline 6 engine at about 110 hp and 3 speed auto. Second was 1984 Buick Skyhawk with 2 liter 4 cylinder at about 90 hp with 4 speed manual.
LOL I learned to drive in a Buick Century from 1992. I think it was my mom's car at the time, and I kind of miss it. After I got my license, I bought a used Cavalier z24 1988. It was two tone silver. BEST car I've ever driven, but the drawback was that it had no airbags and the safety rating was poor. But it was my car, and I loved it. Sadly, I sold it for an updated car with lower mileage, and the Cav was totaled 2 weeks later I should have kept her.
I actually have a later style EXP right now, so if you're still in Dallas or anywhere for that matter and want to come buy it then come on. They are neat little cars, but I probably won't ever do anything with it.
A "previously owned" 1970 Ford Cortina GT. V-8. Stick. It was my go-to-college car. My dad saw it on the lot and it was love at first sight. I think the brand new Perelli tires sealed the deal. I loved it because Jimmy Clark had raced the same car.
Here is a photo of my car being "exercised."
I will say, if it couldn't do what it's doing in the photo, I would not have kept it for 23 years.
